Deborah Nusche, Policy Analyst, OECD

Ms. Deborah Nusche is a Policy Analyst in the Education and Training Policy Division of the OECD Directorate for Education. She is currently working in the Improving School Leadership activity, which provides comparative analysis on school leadership policy and practice in 22 countries. She participated in innovative case study visits to Belgium and Australia and is a co-author of the final comparative report of the activity. She is currently also working for the thematic review on the education of migrants, which was launched in January 2008.


At the OECD, Deborah Nusche previously was a consultant to the Indicators and Analysis Division, where she focused on approaches to learning outcomes assessment in higher education. Prior to this, she was a Carlo Schmid Fellow at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). In parallel to her studies, she has gained work experience with the World Bank's Education Sector, United Nations Volunteers, the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh and the German Embassy in Panama.
She studied at Sciences Po Paris, France, McGill University, Canada and Griffith University, Australia. She holds an undergraduate degree in political science and a M.A. in International Affairs from Sciences Po Paris.
