Workshop on Sustainable Development, Environment and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises

Johannesburg, South Africa, 19 November 2003

One year after the World Sustainable Development Summit, this Workshop took stock of progress in promoting corporate responsibility through private sector initiatives and inter-governmental approaches such as the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, and discussed ways forward. The special focus of this event was on companies’ environmental performance. It was being held in conjunction with the Global Forum on International Investment which took place on 17-18 November 2003.
