OECD Standardised Unemployment Rate falls to 5.8% in November 2006

12/01/07 - The standardised unemployment rate for the OECD area(1) fell to 5.8% in November 2006, 0.1 percentage point lower than the previous month and 0.7 percentage point lower than a year earlier.
In the Euro area(2), the standardised unemployment rate was 7.6% in November 2006, 0.1 percentage point lower than the previous month and 0.8 percentage point lower than a year earlier. The United States’ standardised unemployment rate for December 2006 remained at 4.5%, 0.4 percentage point lower than a year earlier. For Japan, the rate fell to 4.0% in November 2006, 0.1 percentage point lower than the previous month and 0.6 percentage point lower than in November 2005...etc.
