Annual inflation in the OECD area at 3.5% in March 2008

29/04/2008 - Consumer prices in the OECD area rose by 3.5% in the year to March 2008 compared with 3.4% in the year to February 2008. On a monthly basis, the price level rose by 0.7% in March, compared with 0.3% in February.


Consumer prices for energy were up by 13.3% year-on-year in March, as against 13.9% in February and consumer prices for food by 5.1% compared with 5.0% in February. Excluding food and energy, consumer prices rose by 2.1% in the year to March, compared with 2.0% in February...etc.
