Aid for Trade at a Glance 2007: Country & Agency Chapters
This volume presents donor and partner country responses to the questionnaires sent as part of the first OECD/WTO exercise to monitor aid for trade.
Questionnaires went out to a total of 73 donor agencies in June 2007, with a deadline for submission of responses of 7 September (for English-speaking donors) and 14 September (for French- and Spanish-speaking donors). The agencies that responded to the questionnaires provide over 90% of global aid for trade.
Questionnaires went out to partner countries during the second half of July 2007, with a deadline for submission of responses of 28 September. The relatively small number of partner-country responses reflects the experimental nature of the pilot partner-country questionnaire, as well as the limited opportunity for extensive consultation with partners before this first round of monitoring.
In both cases, the questionnaires were accompanied by profiles of each donor or country’s aid-for-trade situation, drawn from the OECD's Creditor Reporting System. To ensure close adherence to the intent of the respondents, the responses have not been edited.
