Official visit of the Secretary-General to Hungary (15 - 16 November 2007)

During his official visit to Hungary, Secretary-General Angel Gurría met with:

  • Mr. Ferenc Gyurcsány, Prime Minister
  • Mr. Péter Kiss, Minister Leading the Prime Minister's Office
  • Mrs. Kinga Göncz, Minister of Foreign Affairs
  • Mr. János Veres, Minister of Finance
  • Mr. Tibor Draskovics, Minister without portfolio in charge of reforms
  • Mr. János Kóka, Minister of Economy and Transport
  • Mrs. Júlia Király, Vice-President of the National Bank of Hungary
  • Mr. Arpád Kovács, President of State Audit Office of Hungary
  • Members of the Hungarian Parliament

 

On the occasion of his bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister, Angel Gurría discussed ways to increase co-operation with Hungary to support its reform efforts.

He also held an international press conference with the Prime Minister in the Parliament and gave a lecture at the GKI International Conference (economic research institute) about the reform agenda and the medium-term economic perspective.
