Fao, IFAD, IAI and PAM were pleased to announce the 4th Annual Conference of the GARNET Network of Excellence (Global Governance, Regionalisation and Regulation: The Role of the EU) on the ‘Food Security and Sustainable Development: Challenges for the Governance of International Relations‘. It was placed in the Research Centre of International Economics (CIDEI) of Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), November 11-13, 2009.

The Community Indicator Consortium was pleased to announce the conference on "Community Indicators as Tools for Social Change: Tracking Change and Increasing Accountability." which was held October 1-2, 2009 in Bellevue Washington, USA with optional training workshops on September 30th.

Italian Society of Economics Demography and Statistics (SIEDS) hosted the XLVI SIEDS Scientific Meeting on "Poverty and Social Exclusion"  on 29-30 May 2009,  at the University of Florence premises (Italy).

The European User Conference for EU-LFS and EU-SILC, which was organized by the German Microdata Lab, GESIS, in cooperation with Eurostat, provided researchers who use these data with the opportunity to present and discuss their work and share their experience. The conference was held on 5-6 of March 2009, in Mannheim (Germany).

Europe's biggest research event for information and communication technologies 08 organised by The European Commission's Directorate General Information Society and Media and hosted by the French Presidency of the European Union. It will be held in Lyon, France on the 25th – 27th of November.
