African Economic Outlook 2004/2005: Country Studies

The core section of the report is based on a country-by-country analysis, and contains for every country a 20-page study presented according to a common analytical framework. This common framework includes a forecasting exercise for the next two years, based on a simple macroeconomic model, together with an analysis of the social and political context. Today in its fourth edition, the AEO provides comprehensive and comparable data and analysis of 29 African economies (compared to 22 countries in the third edition), accounting for 85 per cent of Africa’s population and 90 per cent of its economic output.
