Inflation in the OECD area at 3.1% in July 2006

29/08/2006 - In the OECD area, consumer prices rose by 3.1% in the year to July 2006, compared with 3.2% in the year to June 2006. On a monthly basis, the increase in the price level remained unchanged at 0.1% in July like in June.
Consumer prices for energy rose by 14.3% year-on-year in July as against 16.1% in June. For food they increased by 2.0% year-on-year in July compared with 1.8% in June. Excluding food and energy, consumer prices rose by 2.2% year-on-year in July compared with 2.1% year-on-year in June...etc.
