Biography

 

Ángel Alonso Arroba is a Policy Analyst and Oureach Coordinator for the OECD Development Centre’s activities on Latin America. He also coordinates together with Felix Zimmermann the Centre’s work on fostering think tanks from developing countries working on fiscal policy issues.

Prior to joining the Development Centre in February 2007, Ángel was a program associate for the Democracy Coalition Project, a Washington DC based organisation promoting democracy consolidation worldwide. He also worked in Malawi as a consultant for the World Bank and as researcher at Georgetown University’s Center for Peace and Security Studies. Throughout his career, Ángel has consulted for various Spanish think tanks and foundations on communications and international politics. He is a regular contributor to many online publications.

Ángel holds B.A. degrees on Journalism and Social Anthropology from the Univesity of Sevilla, and a M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. He completed graduate studies at the Instituto Univesitario Ortega y Gasset and the Centro de Estudios Políticos y Constitucionales (Madrid).
