The overall objective of National Policy Dialogues (NPDs) on Financing Urban and/or Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (WSS) has been to strengthen the capacity of respective EECCA countries to plan and implement prioritised water supply and sanitation (WSS) infrastructure investments, to mobilise and effectively allocate financial resources for reaching WSS infrastructure development targets, foremost the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) on WSS, while ensuring that the targets are affordable for the population and the public budget.
