Policy Framework for Investment: Public Consultation

The Policy Framework for Investment (PFI) was developed by a task force through a partnership process involving OECD and non-OECD government representatives, in co-operation with civil society and international organisations.  Between 16 January and 22 February 2006, the OECD Investment Committee and its partners in the task force sought the public’s views through an online consultation on the draft text of the PFI and avenues for future use. Comments of all sorts were encouraged -- from a general assessment of only a few lines to detailed, point-by-point remarks. Comments received can be downloaded in pdf file format.

These comments were considered at a meeting of the task force which took place in March 2006 and by other bodies at the OECD who participated actively in the development of the Framework. On 11 May 2006, the OECD Council adopted and declassified the Policy Framework for Investment.
