OECD's annual Trends in International Migration to be launched on 22 March 2005

17/03/2005 - How many people are moving to OECD countries to find work or join their families? Where are they coming from? And how well do national policies help immigrants integrate into host communities or combat illegal employment of foreign workers?

This year's edition of Trends in International Migration will answer these and other questions and also for the first time include comparative statistics on education levels and the country of birth of foreigners living in OECD countries. A briefing for journalists will be held at the Centre d'Accueil de la Presse Etrangere (CAPE), Maison de la Radio, 75016 Paris, at 11.00 a.m. on 22 March 2005 with John Martin, Director for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs at the OECD; Martine Durand, Deputy Director; and Jean-Pierre Garson, Head of the OECD's International Migration Division.
