Jobs for Immigrants: Labour Market integration in Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Portugal

Immigrants in Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Portugal are more likely to be unemployed or doing a job for which they are overqualified than people born in that country. Their children, even if they leave school with qualifications, face the same problems. These are among the findings of a new OECD report, Jobs for Immigrants: Labour Market Integration in Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Portugal.

Joëlle Milquet, Belgium’s Minister for Employment, Labour and Social Dialogue, and Martine Durand and Thomas Liebig from OECD Employment, Labour and Social Affairs, will present the report at a news conference in Brussels at 13.00 PM on Monday 17 November, chaired by Mr Pierre Paul Matter, President of the Steering Committee of the SPF Employment, Labour and Social Dialogue.

It will take place at the headquarters of the Belgian Federal Public Service for Employment, Labour and Social Dialogue, 1 rue Ernest Blerot, 1070 Brussels, in the Storck room. A buffet lunch will be served from 12.15 PM.
