Outputs
This study reviews the purpose of regulations in road transport and the approaches currently used. It examines opportunities to improve regulatory frameworks using performance standards. Implementation issues are also addressed, including compliance and endorcement systems. The benefits of improving regulatory systems will be detailed.
Status Report
A Seminar on Performance-Based Standards was held in Melbourne in February 2003.
The final report for this project is currently under preparation.
