OECD Standardised Unemployment Rate remained at 6.3% in February 2006

11/04/06 - The standardised unemployment rate for the OECD area(1) remained at 6.3% in February 2006, 0.5 percentage point lower than a year earlier.

In the Euro area, the standardised unemployment rate was 8.2% in February 2006, 0.1 percentage point lower than the previous month and 0.6 percentage point lower than a year earlier. The United States' standardised unemployment rate for March 2006 was 4.7%, 0.1 percentage point lower than the previous month and 0.4 percentage point lower than a year earlier. For Japan, the rate fell to 4.1% in February 2006, 0.4 percentage point lower than the previous month and 0.6 percentage point lower than in February 2005...
