2. Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) Tour
|
Witness Korean modern history in the making by partaking in this sobering tour of the
DMZ, the shared demilitarized zone that runs along the border of South Korea and North Korea. This tour will take you to sights around the South Korean side of the DMZ.
Overview
Tunnel No.3
Secretly dug by the North in a discovered and apparently failed attempt to invade the South, Tunnel No. 3 extends 1,635m across the border and ends just 52km north of Seoul. Brush up on your northeast Asian history by venturing up to the tunnel, where as many as 10,000 armed soldiers can pass through within an hour.
Dora Observatory
Dora Observatory located at Mt. Dora near Tunnel No.3 offers you a magnificent view of the pristine woods preserved from development and kept intact as well as a telescope view of life in a nearby North Korean village.
