CERI - ICT and Initial Teacher Training: Review of national policies

This report aims to give an overview of the national policies that exist in the field of ICT and initial teacher training. Researches were conducted for the thirty OECD member countries and Chile.
The report is based on official country reports, work plans, official texts (decrees, laws) and websites, databases and research articles. Important sources have also been key persons and some responses to the country questionnaire sent to each country. Three categories of national policies in the field of ICT and initial teacher training are identified:

Category 1: Relevant information concerning “ICT in initial teacher training” is missing;

Category 2: Developing awareness to the stakes of ICT in initial teacher training in the country;

Category 3: Inclusion of ICT in initial teacher training at several levels.
