Inflation in the OECD area at 2.1% in November 2006

09/01/2007 - In the OECD area, consumer prices rose by 2.1 % in the year to November 2006, compared with 1.7% in the year to October 2006. On a monthly basis, the price level remained unchanged between October and November 2006 after a decline of 0.2% between September and October 2006.
Consumer prices for energy rose by 0.6% year-on-year in November after a decrease by 3.6% in October. Consumer prices for food increased by 2.8% year-on-year in November, compared with 3.0% in October. Excluding food and energy, consumer price inflation remained stable at 2.2% in the year to November compared to September and October 2006...etc.
