Aid statistics - data and databases

Bookmark this page: www.oecd.org/dac/stats/data

The DAC publishes statistics and reports on aid and other resource flows to developing countries, based principally on reporting by DAC Members, multilateral organisations and other donors. The data are collected via two reporting systems:

  • The DAC aggregates on aid, other official flows and private flows, including a breakdown on type of aid extended, geographical distribution, sectoral breakdown and tying status of aid.
  • The Creditor Reporting System (CRS) aid activity database, which contains detailed quantitative and descriptive data on individual aid projects and programmes. CRS data are used to analyse the sectoral and geographical breakdown of aid for selected years and donors, to examine aid that promotes specific policy objectives (gender equality, environmental sustainability, untying, aid for trade) and monitor donors’ compliance with various international recommendations in the field of development co-operation.
