Peter Malinga is the Commissioner in charge of Customs in Uganda’s Revenue Authority (URA) since January 2005. Previously, he acted as:

Assistant Commissioner in charge of technical matters in the URA, from January 1999 to December 2004.

Senior Technical Expert in the Tariff and Trade Directorate of the World Customs Organization, from January 1992 to December 1998.

Senior Collector of Uganda Customs, from 1986 to 1991.
Mr. Malinga holds a Masters degree in Industrial Location and an Honours degree in Economics and Agricultural Economics. He has participated in the negotiations of COMESA and EAC for several years.
