Josep Maria Mominó, Dean, Faculty of Education and Psychology, Open University of Catalonia, Spain

Josep Maria Mominó has a PhD in Education and Masters in Educational Research from the Ramon Llull University (URL), Barcelona.


He is Director of the Department of Psychology and Education at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) and a Professor in the Information and Knowledge Society PhD programme.


As a researcher in the Internet Interdisciplinary Institut (IN3), he leads the E[NS] (research group on Education and Network Society). Currently, he co-directs the Project Internet Catalonia (PIC) and Project Internet Spain, specialising in the analysis of the transformation of pre-university education with the introduction of the internet in this field.


His research stresses the evolution of educational institutions following the introduction of the internet. It also examines the relationship between ICT and young people in the Network Society.
