The ILO in collaboration with the OECD LEED Programme organised an inter-agency conference on local economic development, meant to take stock of practices around the world and develop a joint strategy for knowledge development and networking. The event involved several agencies such as UN-HABITAT, UNIDO, UNCDF, SDC (LEDNA), GTZ and IADB.
The conference took place at the International Training Centre of the ILO in Turin, Italy from 22-24 October 2008.
