6th General Meeting of the Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia

Istanbul, Turkey, 30-31 May 2005 

The 6th General Meeting of the Anti-Corruption Network and the 4th Meeting of the Istanbul Action Plan Advisory Group took place in Istanbul. The agenda of the meeting included discussions on the following issues: a) international anti-corruption standards and their implementation; b) methods to monitor the implementation of national anti-corruption policies; c) specialized anti-corruption institutions; and d) political corruption. The participants have also discussed and endorsed the ACN Work Programme for 2005-2006. The event was attended by more than 60 participants representing national governments, civil society, donors, and international organizations active throughout the region.
