Workshop on The European Union and International Initiatives on CSR:a Dialogue on Local Impact, Milan, Italy 10 December 2008

The seminar is intended to discuss the role, possible interaction and local implementation of the EU policy on Corporate Social Responsibility and policies and programs promoted by the UN Global Compact and OECD on the same field. It will have a double focus.

The first one is the possible reciprocal improvement of the international institutions’ and Community
initiatives in Europe, through a fostered cooperation, starting from the scant interaction between them.

The second focus will be on the problems linked to the implementation of international and EU CSR tools at local level and the possible role of actors such as the Global Compact national networks to this end.
