MENA-OECD participates in the Carthage Investment Forum

Hammamet, Tunisia, 24 and 25 June 2009

 

The MENA-OECD Investment Programme participated in the Carthage Investment Forum, which was organised by Foreign Investment Promotion Agency -- Tunisia and held in Hammamet, Tunisia on 24 and 25 June 2009.

 

THe MENA-OECD Investment Programme was represented by Anthony O'Sullivan, Head of the OECD Private Sector Development Division, who participated in the panel moderated by M. Abdelhamid Triki, State Secretary to the Minister of Development and International Cooperation, focusing on Tunisia’s attractiveness and the international economic and financial crisis.

 

Main themes discussed were:

  • Resilience factors of the Tunisian economy
  • Government measures to support companies through the downturn
  • How the crisis could be an opportunity for Tunisia
