Giorgi Nodia, Minister, The Ministry of Education and Science, Georgia

Giorgi Nodia was born in 1954.
In 1976, he graduated from Tbilisi State University, the Department of Philosophy and Psychology (with a major in Philosophy).
In 1982, he became a candidate of Philosophy.
From 1980 to 1995, he worked at the Institute of Philosophy, Academy of Sciences.
From 1992 to 2008, he took up the position of the Director of Caucasian Institute of Peace, Democracy and Development - a nongovernmental organization that focuses on public policy research and promotion of democratic values. At various times, he taught at Tbilisi State University, Tbilisi Ilia Chavchavadze University of Language and Culture.
Since 2005, Giorgi Nodia has been a professor at Tbilisi State University. He has published books and scientific works in Philosophy, Theory of Politics, and in the field of internal and foreign policy of Georgia.
