Alberto Amaral

Alberto Amaral  is professor at the University of Porto and director of CIPES. He was rector of the Universidade do Porto and chair of the Board of CHER. He is life member of IAUP, and a member of EAIR, SHRE and IMHE. He is member of the editorial board of Quality Assurance in Education and of the Springer series, Higher Education Dynamics. He is editor and co-editor of several books, including Governing Higher Education: National Perspectives on Institutional Governance, The Higher Education Managerial Revolution?, Markets in Higher Education: Rhetoric or Reality? and Reform and Change in Higher Education: Analysing Policy Implementation in Springer/Kluwer.
