Cristian Cox CV

Cristián Cox  (Ph.D. University of London, 1984) is head of the Curriculum and Evaluation Unit of the Ministry of Education of Chile. A researcher  and policy  maker, he has led the design and implementation of key programs of the ongoing education reform of his country and was Tinker Visiting Professor at Stanford University in 2005. He has worked as a consultant for OECD, World Bank, IADB and UNESCO. Among his publications : Innovation and reform to improve the quality of primary education: Chile. (2004); Las Políticas Educacionales de Chile en las últimas dos décadas del Siglo XX (2003); Citizenship  education in curriculum reforms of the 1990s in Latin America: context, contents and orientations (2002).
