| The Latin American Economic Outlook (LEO) was presented in Brasilia, hosted by the Central Bank of Brazil. The presentation took place on March 4, chaired by the Governor of the Central Bank of Brazil, Henrique de Campos Meirelles. Distinguished discussants included Bernard Appy (Secretary for Economic Policy, Ministry of Finance of Brazil), Luiz Awazu Pereira da Silva (Chief Economist, Ministry of Budget & Planning of Brazil) and Mario Mesquita (Economic Policy Director, Central Bank of Brazil). Two days later, the report was also presented in Rio de Janeiro, within the Framework of the 2008 Membership Meeting of the Institute of International Finance. |
