Information note on the revision of the DAC List

In September 2008, the Development Assistance Committee approved the List of Recipients of Official Development Assistance (ODA). It will govern ODA reporting for three years, starting with 2009 reporting of 2008 flows.

The DAC List is reviewed every three years. Countries are divided into income groups based on Gross National Income (GNI) per capita as reported by the World Bank, with the Least Developed Countries (LDCs), as defined by the United Nations, separately identified. Countries that have exceeded the high-income threshold for three consecutive years at the time of the review are removed from the List.
