Kyiv, 21-22 February 2002
Further to the OECD's Investment Policy Review of Ukraine at the request of the Ukrainian authorities, it was decided during the Kyiv Roundtable meeting in February 2001 to establish the OECD-Ukraine Forum on Investment and Enterprise Development.
The Forum fosters an open and inclusive dialogue on investment issues among the international investment policy community and Ukrainian decision-makers with a view to supporting Ukraine's efforts to effectively implement policy reforms aimed at improving the investment climate for domestic and foreign investors.
This inaugural meeting, co-organised by the OECD and the Ministry of Economy and European Integration of Ukraine, discussed the overall OECD-Ukraine co-operation, to assess progress made by Ukraine in investment and enterprise reforms and to consider further follow-up actions.
This meeting was attended by representatives of OECD countries, an inter-ministerial Ukrainian team, international and regional organisations, foreign and domestic private sector companies and associations and civil society groups.
