Definition: The DAC defines aid to agriculture as including agricultural sector policy, planning and programmes, agricultural land and water resources, agricultural development and supply of inputs, crops and livestock production, agricultural services, agricultural education, training and research as well as institution capacity building and advice.
For analysis purposes in its statistical presentations, the Secretariat includes below aid to agriculture the agricultural sector as defined above, the forestry sector, the fishing sector (both identified separately), and the 'rural development' sub-sector (classified as a multi-sector aid). This choice of presentation excludes developmental food aid and emergency food aid.
