Henno Theisens

Analyst

Henno Theisens’ main responsibility lies with Schooling for Tomorrow (SfT) a major CERI  project, developing and sharing futures thinking in education. Its starting point is the need to develop and share approaches to overcome the preoccupation with the short term that typifies so much decision-making in education. SfT has been a leading CERI project since the late 1990s. It is now completing Phase Two and entering Phase Three. This is an ambitious expansion of the project - widening the international participation, systematizing the knowledge base, and disseminating the results of futures thinking in action.
Henno Theisens holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Higher Education Policy Research from University of Twente (Center for Higher Education Policy Studies, CHEPS), an M.Sc. in European Politics and Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and an M.A. in Public Policy and Public Administration from the University of Twente. Before joining CERI he worked as a Senior Research Associate at CHEPS mainly in the area of higher education policy and management both through consultancy (in Central & Eastern Europe and Africa) and contract research.
