Services Producer Price Indices: overview

Measurement of services prices from the prospective of the producer and in particular prices of services provided to business is an area of growing interest in national statistical agencies. With the increasing importance of the service sector in national economies there has been exposed a lack of appropriate deflators for service sector output.
