Sixth Informal Consultation between the Trade Committee and Civil Society Organisations, 19 October 2004

The OECD Trade Committee held its 6th Informal Consultation with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) on Tuesday, 19 October 2004.

The consultation was centred around two areas of focus as follows:

Morning Session: 

The Impact of the Agreed Framework on the Forthcoming Negotiations of the DDA

Afternoon Session: 

Business Outsourcing and International Trade

• Agricultural Trade and WTO Negotations: Concerns and Consensus among Farmers' Organisations  
• Trade, Offshoring of Jobs and Structural Adjustment: The Need for A Policy Response - Submission by the Trade Union Advisory Committee to the OECD
• The Impact of the Agreed Framework on the Forthcoming Agricultural Negotiations of the Doha Development Agenda - Submission by the Canadian Federation of Agriculture (CFA)
• Submission by the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD: 
  I.  BIAC Priorities for the WTO Doha Negotations; II.  Trade, Global Sourcing and Structural Adjustment:  Policies to Promote Growth and Employment
