HATS - Putting the Pieces Together - People

The Key People and Groups:

Following the December 2006 event, a meeting organised in the OECD DAC in May discussed a proposal on next steps and workplans for partners to develop Health as a Tracer Sector, in light of the Third High Level Forum on aid effectiveness in Accra (September 2-4, 2008). The Aid Effectiveness division in DCD/DAC recruited a senior co-ordinator (Elisabeth Sandor) for health in September 2007 and a Task Team on Health as a Tracer Sector was formally created in April 2007 to lead the preparation of the work on aid effectiveness and health in light of the High level Forum in Accra.

Linking with many other stakeholders…to put the pieces together

The Task Team on Health as a Tracer Sector (TT HATS) aims to coordinate and bring together evidence of progress and remaining problems that are been supported or faced by other organisations or partnerships. It does not intend to duplicate other structures’ work but rather, it’s willing to put the pieces together and feeds the overall aid effectiveness monitoring exercise with relevant and selected inputs.

In doing so, the TT HATS builds on its rich and diverse membership and, through appropriate forms, links up with other partnerships, NGOs, multilateral and bilateral donor agencies, partner countries, private sector, academia.
