HATS - Future work and Innovation

On the margins of the meeting of the Working Party on Aid Effectiveness on 25-26 November 2008, the members of the Task Team have begun drafting a work programme. This programme will focus on a selected number of issues which are at the core of the Paris and Accra documents from the health perspective.

These would include: predictability of health aid, use of country systems including drugs procurement country systems, support to health national strategies, strengthened dialogue with international and local NGOs that support the work on aid effectiveness and health, tracking progress from Global programmes and funds in advancing the health MDGs in line with the Paris and Accra agendas, improved information on health at global and country level and preliminary lessons from emerging mutual accountability frameworks.
