Official visit of the Secretary-General to Italy (22-24 February 2007)

During his official visit to Italy, OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría met with:

Additionally, Mr Gurría's speaking engagements during the visit included:

  • An address to the Foreign Relations Commission, House of Deputies, in the context of a series of "hearings" on globalisation
  • An address to government ministers and business representatives highlighting the benefits that countries can draw from OECD membership, in particular on the political economy of reform, at a dinner hosted by the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs.
  • A statement on economic liberalisation in Italy at a Round Table organised by the newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore
