OECD Corporate Governance Committee

The OECD Corporate Governance Committee:

• oversees the implementation of the OECD Principles of Corporate Governance  and the OECD Guidelines on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises
• co-ordinates and guides the Organisation's work on corporate governance and related corporate affairs issues, including state-owned assets, market integrity, company law, insolvency and privatisation
• guides and supports OECD's dialogue with non-member economies in the area of corporate governance. Regional corporate governance roundtables have been established in Asia, Russia, Latin America, South Eastern Europe and Eurasia.  These initiatives take place within the framework of the OECD Global Forum on Governance and are organised in co-operation with the World Bank Group.

The Corporate Governance Committee meets 3 times a year and is composed of representatives from the 30 OECD member countries.  It is chaired by Dr. Marcello Bianchi of CONSOB, the Italian financial markets regulator, and is serviced by the Corporate Affairs Division in the OECD Directorate for Financial and Enterprise Affairs.
