In 2000 the OECD made available its Privacy Statement Generator as an online educational tool to provide guidance on conducting an internal review of existing personal data practices and on developing a privacy policy statement. After more than 10 years, the technology on which it was built has evolved, and the generator itself has had to be retired.
The importance of good privacy notices continues to be essential, as highlighted by an OECD paper in 2007: Making Privacy Notices Simple: An OECD Report and Recommendations
