Joint OECD-Eurostat-Russian Statistical State Committee Workshop on Measurement of the Non-Observed Economy

OECD, Eurostat and Russian Statistical State Committee have jointly sponsored a workshop on Measurement of the Non-Observed Economy (NOE). The Workshop was held 16-20 October, 2000 in Sochi, Russian Federation. It had twin aims: firstly, to provide an opportunity to describe and review recent developments in NOE measurement in participating countries; secondly, to be a forum for presentation and discussion of the draft handbook on NOE Measurement that is being prepared as a supplement to SNA93. Participants had the opportunity to discuss the Handbook chapter by chapter, and to feedback into and influence the final version.
The Workshop papers and proceedings are being published on the Internet and in prints.
