Informal Meeting of OECD Education Ministers on Vocational Education and Training

OECD Education Ministers met informally in Copenhagen under the chairmanship of Bertel Haarder, Danish Minister for Education and Ecclesiastical Affairs on 22 and 23 January to discuss vocational education and training.  Secretary General Angel Gurría gave an opening presentation and Marc Tucker, President, National Center on Education and the Economy, United States delivered the keynote address. The discussions, opened by Bertel Haarder, were wide-ranging, covering matters such as rapidly changing labour markets, the need to improve the quality of vocational education and cooperation between the OECD and the European Commission.
