Fourth Conference on Insurance Regulation and Supervision in Latin America

8-9 May 2003, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

This conference was organised by the OECD Insurance Committee under the aegis of the Centre for Co-operation with Non-Members programme with sponsorship by the Government of Japan, jointly with the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) and the Association of Latin American Insurance Supervisors (ASSAL). The conference provided a forum for policy dialogue on selected insurance regulatory and supervisory issues among relevant policymakers and experts of OECD and Latin American countries. It was held back-to-back with the XIV ASSAL annual meeting and the IAIS-ASSAL training seminar scheduled for 6-8 May 2003. The Superintendence of Insurance of the Dominican Republic (SS) hosted the meetings.
