Governance of Public Research

As part of the project on Steering and Funding of Research Institutions, six country studies were carried out to determine the main characteristics of the public research systems and the recent reforms undertaken in each country.

The reports are based on interviews conducted in each country during study visits, as well as other relevant documentation. These case studies have also fed into the final project report, Governance of Public Research: Toward Better Practices, published in late September 2003, which can be ordered on the OECD on-line bookshop.
