Increased Collaboration with the IHP+

The OECD and the International Health Partnership (IHP+) have recently announced an increased collaboration on health issues.

The secretariat of the IHP+ as well as consultants working on the IHP+ evaluation, contributed to the most recent TT HATS meeting on 2 April 2009 at the OECD Headquarters in Paris.

The current preparation of the TT HATS interim report (end November) builds on close co-ordination with the IHP+ results group in charge of the evaluation of the IHP+. The IHP+ process develops within its own timeline, but regular communication is ensured with the IHP+ results group in order to avoid duplication, build on DAC experience and legitimacy in the area of aid effectiveness and report on changes at country and local levels towards more effective aid in the health sector.

On 20 April 2009, the IHP+ Compact for Mali was signed in Bamako. Dr Salif Samake, Director of planning in MoH of Mali is the co-chair of the TT HATS.
