G7 merchandise trade growth remains sluggish in first quarter 2007 despite strong import rise in Germany

17/07/2007 - A. Merchandise Trade Volume Data (customs-based data)


Merchandise trade exports in the Group of Seven countries rose by a seasonally-adjusted 0.9% in the first quarter of 2007 compared with the previous quarter. Import volume growth picked up by 1.5%, driven largely by German domestic demand. On a year-on-year basis, G7 trade volumes continued to grow, with exports 3.4% higher and imports up 4.1%...etc.

 

The next release for quarterly trade data will be published in October 2007.
