Tables and Graphs: every composite leading indicator for the 23 OECD countries.
Data in Excel format:
- The trend restored CLI (Excel) worksheet contains the monthly data for every OECD CLIs. Data are presented in their trend restored form. This trend-restoration enables direct comparison with the reference series. From these data, the following measures can be derived: the 1-month percent change, the annualised 6-month rate of change and the twelve-month rate of change at annual rate.
- The annualised 6-month rates of change (Excel) worksheet contains the corresponding monthly data for every OECD CLIs. A definition of the 6-month rate of change can be found in the CLI glossary.
- The reference series long-term trend rate (Excel) worksheet contains the corresponding monthly data . The method of trend estimation adopted by the OECD is a modified version of the phase-average trend (PAT) method developed by the United States NBER.
The methodology used to compile OECD CLIs and reference series trend is described in OECD Composite Leading indicators: a tool for short-term analysis.
In December 2002, for 16 countries, the OECD updated the reference chronology of turning points of the CLIs as well as the chronology of turning points for component series. At the same time, some component series have been dropped or replaced. Download the Update

The composite leading indicators for Turkey has been created and has been released monthly since December 2002.
The composite leading indicators for Spain and Italy have been revised in 2001.
A composite leading indicator for the Euro zone has been created and has been released monthly since October 1999.
Following the OECD Leading Indicators Meeting in October 1996:
- The composite leading indicators for the G7 countries and Belgium have been revised.
- A composite leading indicator is now published for Mexico.
- The list of components in the composite leading indicator for Norway has been modified.
