Biography
Estelle Loiseau is the assistant of the Poverty Reduction and Social Development group. In this position she supports the work of the group in the areas of gender equality, migration and human security and is responsible for the logistics of conferences, workshops and other events. Estelle also assists in the work of the Gender, Institutions and Development Data Base and Wikigender.
Prior to joining the Development Centre in April 2008, Estelle was working in the Competition Division of the OECD. Previously, Estelle has gained experience from the United Nations Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights, supporting various activities of two UN Voluntary Trust Funds; she also gained field experience while working with a local NGO in Cambodia on projects related to the migration of women and human trafficking, especially concerning women and children. Estelle completed her graduate studies in Spanish Language, Literature and Civilisation at the Sorbonne in Paris. She also holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Manchester and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education from Hope University in Liverpool.
