OECD Centres Around the World

OECD Centres' Addresses, Web Sites, and Contact Information

The OECD is represented outside of Paris by Centres in Berlin, Mexico City, Tokyo, and Washington. The Centres serve as regional contacts for the full range of OECD activities including :

• Sales of Publications
• Public Outreach
• Media Relations
• Liaison with Parliaments and Governments

Each Centre has a library of OECD publications which is open to the public and Centre personnel are available for answering questions.

Each Centre maintains a web site featuring information on Centre events and activities, some of which are open to the public.  See the links on the above to visit these web sites.

OECD also has offices in Moscow, Istanbul, and Ankara which are devoted to specific projects.

The OECD Moscow Office provides government bodies, educational institutions and enterprises in Russia and other New Independent States (NIS) with information on the OECD and its work, thus facilitating the implementation of the OECD's programme of work with these countries. The office maintains a library of OECD publications and works on Russian versions of these publications. In 2000, the office launched a Russian language Web site, www.oecdmoscow.org, presenting the OECD's programme of co-operation with Russia and general information on the OECD and its activities.

The central task of the Istanbul Centre is to co-ordinate and manage the delivery of the OECD's multidimensional approach to private sector development in promoting policy dialog and advice as well as exchange of experience among OECD Member and non-Member countries.
Since its founding in 1993, the Centre for Private Sector Development in Istanbul has held over 100 workshops and working group meetings, bringing together more than 2300 senior officials and policymakers from Central Asia, Caucasus, Black Sea, Central and Eastern European countries, as well as Mongolia and the Russian Federation. Future activities will bring in countries of South East Europe, the Middle East and certain Mediterranean countries.

The OECD Multilateral Tax Centre in Ankara was founded in 1993 primarily to engage high level tax officials of the CIS states in the global debate on taxation during the process of their transition to a market economy. The Centre, thanks to generous support from Turkey, has proved a resounding success. More than 100 separate tax events have been held at the Centre to date attended by thousands of participants from 29 different countries. The countries represented are primarily from Eastern Europe and Central Asia but participants have come from as far away as South Africa and China.

The OECD / LEED Trento Center for Local Development is dedicated to helping build local development capacity in OECD member and non-member countries in Central, East and South Eastern Europe. The Centre builds on the OECD Local Economic and Employment Development Programme’s longstanding commitment to providing assistance in the design, implementation and assessment of local development strategies and its expertise on local governance, entrepreneurship and social inclusion. For more information, see the Centre's web page.
